They did a great job helping coming up with a poem. As a class, we would think of one sentence and then figure out what rhymes with the last word in that sentence. We had a hard time coming up with rhyming words for "bald" (sorry, Mr. Hanley!!).
Mr. Hanley is so cool.
He is the principal of our school.
He is kind of tall.
He likes to play basketball.
We love him a lot.
Maybe he eats tater tots.
Mr. Hanley ends a school fight.
He knows what is right.
He has a little bit of hair.
But we know he likes to care.
Mr. Hanely is so nice to us.
He watches kids go on the bus.
He wears handsome clothes.
All the answers he knows.
He is very funny.
He has a lot of money.
Happy Principal’s Day to you.
We’re glad you’re here and not the zoo.
Love Miss Yan’s Class
Of course we really don't know if Mr. Hanley has a lot of money, but if we didn't use "money," then we would have had to try to think of a sentence with "honey!"
