After registration, schools will contact families to arrange appointments for orientations. Kindergarten teachers will meet individually with parents and students and go over the "About Me" booklet which gives teachers the oppotunity to learn about your child. Kindergarten classes start a week later than the rest of the district in order to accommodate these family meetings. This information assists teachers in making decisions about classroom instruction and helps establish a positive partnership between the home and the school.
Kindergarten teachers will be conducting appointments beginning Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016. Please arrive on time because appointments can be booked within 5 minutes of each other. If possible, it would be helfpul to keep siblings at home to keep the distractions down. Please remind your child that this appointment is to get to know one another and see the classroom.
On Thursday and Friday from 9:15-11:30, your child is invited to join us for our Kindergarten Academy! Please drop off and pick up by the kindergarten doors which are located near the basketball court.
