Welcome to Kindergarten, 2014-2015 School Year!

Welcome to our class blog!  My name is Mrs. McConnell and this is my 8th year teaching at Kincaid Elementary in kindergarten.  Kindergarten is my favorite age to teach because students are so eager to learn new things and I love teaching them to read and write!

When I'm not at school teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family - especially with my two year old son!  It has been a joy spending my summers with him going to the library, park, zoo, and more! This summer we were able to take our son to Disneyland where he enjoyed meeting Mickey Mouse and Pluto, and then meeting our extended family for a family reunion in California!

I'm excited for a new school year and meet all of you!  I hope you are excited as well to be in school!  I have a lot of fun projects planned that I hope you will enjoy!  See you during our kindergarten orientation appointments and then on the first day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 27th!
